In recent years , I ’ve drop unnumerable hr watching serial TV shows on DVD , avid instalment after sequence . My first fourth dimension ascertain a TV series on DVD was when I find out the first three seasons ofSix Feet Under . When I ran out of discs and had to wait for – gasp ! – new episodes to air travel on TV , I felt a funny sense of loss . AfterSix Feet Under , I watchedThe Sopranos , Arrested Development , The Ben Stiller Show . After I run through those I lease several season ofThe Simpsonsin desperation , though I had already go out the episodes in syndication a gazillion meter . I begin buying DVDs of show I was already view ( notablyLostandBattlestar Galactica ) and advertise those on friends . " Here , just take Season 1 , " I ’d say . " Just have a face . If you like it , I have 49 hour more . " Predictably , the dependency would take hold and I ’d find a supporter at my door , die for Season 2 and beyond .

Here was a series that everybody told me I would have it off – and by everybody , I think of there were days when I ’d see articles online about the series , I ’d hear about it on the radio , then I ’d get an electronic mail from a friend asking if I ’d see the latest sequence . I finally gave in , and take over the first season from a friend . After the first instalment , I was n’t win over . But everybody seemed to screw it … so I keep watching . By the 4th episode I had wrench off my headphone and closed the blinds , settled in for a marathon .
