Matt Bomerand his husband have a special plan in mind for thisValentine’s Day.
“We’re going to try to get out of town, which we haven’t been able to do together in a really long time because, thankfully, we’ve been doing all these kinds of things,” Bomer says, referencing his hectic schedule.
“We’re going to have a nice moment out of town together, which will be a great way to reconnect amidst all the busyness that’s been going on,” he continues.
When asked to specify what exactly the couple’s celebrations will include, Bomer — who receivedThe Hollywood Reporter’s trailblazer award at the festival — adds: “It’s a favorite beach spot that we like. It’s just easy, not too far from the kids. We havethree teenagersnow, so you don’t want to stray too far from home.”

Bomer has been married to Hallssince 2011. The pair wed in a private ceremony with just their “nearest and dearest” in attendance, theAmerican Horror Storyactor previously told PEOPLE.
The couple didn’t announce their union publicly until 2014, however, when Bomer revealed the news in an issue ofDetails.
Bomer and Halls, a top Hollywood publicist, share three sons together —Kit, born in 2005, and twinsHenry and Walker, born in 2008.

Back in 2016, Bomertold PEOPLEthat he and Halls take their relationship “one day at a time” and draw inspiration from his grandparents' love.
“[My grandparents] just celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary, so I always look to them and I see how every day they express their love for each other and I try to follow,” he said at the time. “They’ve set a pretty good model for me to follow.”
