The actress and singer, 52, is set toreceive the Generation Awardat this year’s show, which will air from the Los Angeles' Barker Hangar starting at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday.
“The Generation Award celebrates beloved actors whose diverse contributions to both film and television have turned them into household names,” according to a release.

Lopez has a movie career spanning decades. Some of her most memorable roles are as the titular music legend in 1997’sSelena, 2019’sHustlers, as well as several romantic comedies over the years includingThe Wedding Planner,Maid in Manhattanand the recentMarry Me.
Back in March, the multi-hyphenate staraccepted the Icon Awardfor her music career at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, where she said in part in her emotional speech, “I’m just getting started.”

Snoop Dogg is scheduled to perform during the first show — where Jack Black will also be honored with the Comedic Genius Award — while DJ D-Nice will take the stage during UNSCRIPTED.

The nominations — which include 26 gender-neutral categories — highlightSpider-Man: No Way Home, which has the most nods with seven total, HBO’sEuphoriaseason 2, which has six nods, and Robert Pattinson’sThe Batman, which has four.
Recent series likeNetflix’sInventing Anna, Disney+‘sMoon Knightand Hulu’sPam & Tommyalso scored nominations.
There are several new categories (best song, “Here for the Hookup,” best reality return, best music documentary, best reality romance, best reality star), and the classic category best kiss returns.
Nominees in the latter category include Pattinson and Zoë Kravitz fromThe Batman, Lily Collins and Lucien Laviscount fromEmily in Paris, stuntman Poopies and a snake fromJackass Forever, Hunter Schafer and Dominic Fike inEuphoriaand Tom Holland and Zendaya inSpider-Man.
