Brooklyn Beckhamis embracing his love of cooking — something he says he owes to his father.
In a new interview with British news outletThe Times, Brooklyn opened up about learning to cook from his dad, retired soccer starDavid Beckham, while poking a little fun at the chef skills of some of his loved ones.
“My dad was always the one cooking in the house, my mum not so much,” he explained of David, 48, and mom, designerVictoria Beckham, 49.“I just loved hanging out with him in the kitchen, I loved the smell of food.”

Brooklyn has been sharing cooking content on social media for several years, and also helmed a 2021-2022 Facebook Watch series calledCookin' with Brooklyn.In it, Brooklyn teamed up with professional chefs or celebrities to craft unique culinary dishes.
The 24-year-old said that now the next generation of Beckhams (he and hissiblings— brothersRomeo, 21, andCruz, 18, and sisterHarper, 12) gather together to cook. “We never say it’s like a competition, even though we give each other a bit of stick about it — that’s just what brothers do. All of us in the kitchen. Just listening to music, cooking together, it’s fun,” said Brooklyn. “The best.”
Brooklyn told the outlet that he’s never taken a cooking class, but has spent time watching online MasterClass offerings with chefs. He also noted the connections he made throughCookin' with Brooklyn: “I’ve been lucky enough to do videos and hang out with all these different types of chefs, learning different things, like [the renowned U.S. baker] Nancy Silverton, who is one of my favorite chefs. She’s a really cool person.”

Some of Brooklyn’s cooking contenthas earned him criticism, but he takes the internet hate in stride.
“I always wish them well, the haters,” he said in the interview. “I’m just doing what I love doing, staying healthy, being happy, and that’s what it is. There are always going to be people out there who try and pull you down.”
Victoria and David justshared a peekat their own cooking and eating habits, with the former Spice Girl revealing on Instagram Saturday that the couple make green juice daily. The concoction includes spinach, apple, pear, broccoli, cucumber, celery, lemon, ginger and lime.
