And it turns out that Krennic ’s biggest rival is going to be none other than everyone ’s favorite evil girlboss , Dedra Meero .
“ If they did n’t see eye to eye , to me , it ’s cute , ” Mendelsohn toldEmpire Magazineof Krennic and Dedra ’s relationship in season two . “ Dedra versus Krennic ? I consider it ’s a morsel of a mismatch . They ’re all subordinate to Krennic . ”

It should come as no surprise that the two will be at each others ’ throat ( proverbially or otherwise ) . After all , Krennic pass more time inRogue Onesquabbling with Tarkin over who get credit for the Death Star than he did endanger the Rebellion , and inAndorseason one , Dedra cut her teeth on learning to playthe government of the ISBin her verbal spar with Supervisor Blevin . There are perhaps no two hoi polloi inAndor‘s manifestation of the Imperial regimen more likely to hate each other ’s gut , professionally or otherwise , than Dedra and Krennic .
But for Mendelsohn , that ’s part of what makes the melodic theme of research the Imperial perspective interesting in the first place . “ They ’re all extend in one direction , ” Mendelsohn continued . “ The Empire , if you speak your head , there are differences of belief . ”
It ’s those dispute of opinion that are finally going to dwell not just Krennic , but the whole Empire , low — but before it all total crash down around him inRogue One , it ’s go to be perfectly fascinating to take in Krennic and Dedra square off and make each other miserable .
