An Air National Guard c-130 cargo planing machine on Wednesday crashed near Savannah , Georgia , killing at least five on board , sureness said .
The aeroplane was on a preparation missionary station when the fortuity occurred at roughly 11:30am local time . The Associated Press reported that between five and nine passengers were on board , reportedly National Guard members from Puerto Rico en route to the US mainland .
A photographtweetedby firefighters at the scene show the tail destruction of the airplane aflame alongside Highway 21 near the Savannah / Hilton Head International Airport . Debris was shown spread across the road , a mainstay of black green goddess rise from the flames .
