Indeera Stokes moved forward through comparatively empty , quiet corridor . This tier was largely used for storage , and she felt a moment ’s dismay that they had n’t been able to set up some temporary quarters down here for the refugee alongside . So much elbow room , and the moorage bay was becoming so herd —

— but those multitude had their ship , which for the most part they wished to remain near . And while some of these compartment were empty , others were stocked with worthful element that could n’t simply be left available to all and miscellaneous .
You ’re distracting yourself , she realized . You ’re excogitate and ruminate instead of opening yourself to the Force . That ’s not going to serve .

Indeera pivot on her heel and run back the mode she ’d come , intent on give chase Regald down . What was happening to him ? She was suddenly , sharply afraid for him , more afraid than she ’d ever been even for her own life sentence . Her boot pound against the base as she turned this elbow room , then that , seeking the way of life she ’d seen Regald take in the first place . This seemed to be the right direction . . .
Her steps slowed . Indeera swing as she went , until finally she slip up and had to catch herself against the nearest rampart . She could n’t see Regald , though she know he could only be a few meters in front of her . Why was it so dark here ?
The light were on , but it was as though — as though she could n’t take in the light —
Indeera ’s eye opened wider as the level began to run . As the walls shift color and shape . She cognise she was hallucinating , but recognize did no goodness ; reality was nowhere to be found . This phantasmagoria surrounded her , ensnare her , took away everything that was true and dear .
The flooring slapped her across her cheek , kicked her shoulder , shove her hip . Indeera paw feebly at her side for her lightsaber , but she could n’t fold her hired hand around it , and what good would it do besides ? There was no enemy to fight . There was no blank space to stand .
There was no Force to guide her . It was gone , drop dead , gone everlastingly , and she had not known it was possible to feel so frightened , so alone .
Tears welled in Indeera ’s eye , blur everything around her until she could see no more .
